Every September, Recovery Month spreads awareness of how important it is to make treatment accessible and to support those in recovery with a variety of events.  This year, Southwest Florida "Voices for Recovery" sponsored  a "The Walk for Recovery" on Saturday, September 26th at Lakes Park in Fort Myers. 

Substance use disorders take an enormous toll on our community and it is time that we support those who need our help.  We had a light turnout for the walk due to the heat.  We are strongly considering a "September in December" theme for next year.   We hope that anyone who interested in helping us will contact us at:  recoverywalk@comcast.net

There are ways for you to help others to recovery:

Donate what you can to help those struggling to pay their medication and treatment bills. 

Learn about the problems of drug and alcohol abuse and know that there is help available to those who truly want it.
